For those hoping to hear from Halo Infinite soon, it looks like your wait is even a bit longer.

Because Halo Infinity has been delayed , developer 343 was silent on the radio. The game was supposed to release last week in conjunction with the launch of the Xbox Series X / S, but the Master Chief unfortunately couldn’t move on to the next generation just yet.

Fans are now clamoring when we can find out more about the game. Many have suggested that we get to take a look at the Game Awards on December 10th. The show has a long history of big announcements, even revealing the Xbox Series X last year.

However, 343 came out and tempered expectations. Speak in a Reddit post Speculating on the games appearing at the Game Awards, Halo Community Director Brian Jarrad said the wait will continue. He said: “Full Disclosure: We don’t have anything planned for VGAs, but we hope to deliver at least one high level update in the next few weeks so that we can start this journey together again after the holidays.

Adding: “Putting together something like a demo or a good rhythm for VGAs is a huge amount of work and would pose challenges with the current holiday milestones.”

Jarrad continued to ask the community for patience as the team could “get the band going”.

Halo Infinite has had a troubled journey so far. From a changing group of creatives at the helm of the project to the somewhat maligned game demo, it was far from straightforward.

However, we hope the game makes a comeback early next year and that the hard work of the team pays off.
