Hitman 3 DLC is coming, but IO Interactive has yet to define what it is

Over the past half-decade, Hitman’s excellent trilogy, World of Assassination, has been one of the best-supported series in the industry. Whether it’s large-scale expansions, special missions, time-limited objectives, or additional escalations and challenge packs, the game has grown significantly.
However, Danish developer IO Interactive has been surprisingly quiet about its post-launch plans for Hitman 3, and we had started to think it might not have one. Fortunately, it isn’t, you just haven’t decided what it will look like yet. Speaking in an interview with The Gamer, executive producer Forest Swartout Large said the team “is continually working on Hitman.”
“We’re definitely going to do DLC, but we haven’t defined what it is,” he said. “I think right now we’re not seeing new cards like Bank and Haven Island. We’re more into using existing locations and reinventing them, tweaking them. And this time we can use the whole trilogy. We can go back to the 2016 Hitman maps, the Hitman 2 maps, we have all the locations ”.
IO Interactive has created missions in the past that use the same general areas, but change the time of day and their goals. Some scenes have also been completely reinvented, such as the filming of the film in Sapienza or the Halloween Climb in Hawke’s Bay. We’d really love to see more of this sort of thing, and we think it would be fun to bring back all the elusive targets permanently.
What kind of post-launch content would you like to see in Hitman 3? As Large says, there’s a lot the developer could do, so while we appreciate that he’s primarily focusing on Project 007 at this point, we’re hoping he’ll join the already massive World of Assassination trilogy during some time.
