Netflix is back to play a major role for The Witcher season 2

Thue Ersted Rasmussen, who had previously been confirmed to play Eskel in The Witcher, temporada 2, has been recast due to scheduling conflicts.

The The Witcher series Netflix played a key role again

before landing the season 2 on the transport network.

Rasmussen had to resign from his post due to scheduling conflicts that arose due to the Coivd-19 pandemic.

Like him explained on Instagram: “Unfortunately, due to the postponement due to Covid-19, I will not be playing Eskel in The Witcher. It’s heartbreaking, sure, but most of all I’m happy and grateful for the days I spent on set earlier this year. Everyone was extremely engaged and passionate about the project and it was a truly inspiring experience.

“I’m sure Season 2 will be absolutely amazing and now I can see her as a fan rather than as a Witcher.”

Basil Eidenbenz (who you may recognize from Victoria, The Athena, or X Company) will play the character instead of Rasmussen, and has already filmed scenes on the set of Season 2.

This isn’t the first time the series has faced complications from the ongoing pandemic: In March, Kristofer Hivju contracted the virus and production was halted while the team waited for it to recover.
