Update: Developer Psyonix provided another small update on their progress in fixing the current Rocket League split-screen multiplayer issue.

Responding to a Reddit fan, a Psyonix rep said:

Hey guys, if the test ing goes well, split screen support should be back on Nintendo Switch with our game update next month (the same one that features the new community flags we talked about yesterday. ).

It has been on the Known Issues list for a few months now and our goal has always been to get it back. Thanks everyone! “

So hopefully we will see a solution in December? Crossed fingers!

Original article (Sunday 25 October 2020 15:55 GMT): Believe it or not, but it’s been over a month since split-screen multiplayer mysteriously disappeared from Nintendo’s version of Rocket league. This happened around the same time it went free.

Fortunately, Psyonix has not forgotten. Just a few hours ago, the developer replied to a player with the following tweet:

The previous update via Rocket League’s official support page was very similar:

“Split screen mode is not currently available on Nintendo Switch. We are working to resolve this issue.

As you can probably guess, players who used this mode regularly before it disappeared are not satisfied. Here are some of the latest reactions on Twitter:

If we hear more from Psyonix, we’ll be sure to let you know.
