PQube has announced a new time-bending puzzle adventure, The flat effect, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X / S and PC.
Set in a dystopian future, The flat effect tells the story of Solo who appears to be suffering from memory loss on his last day at the office. You remember having a family, but you don’t know where your house is.
An official summary is as follows:
It’s your last day, it’s time to mark your departure and go home. But where is the house? And what is the house? Are you alone, alone?
The Airplane Effect puts you in the shoes of Solo, a lonely office worker on his last day at the office and it’s time to reunite with your beautiful family. You have a family, don’t you? You think. You remember having a wife and a child… you are sure of it.
Playing with your grip on reality and distorting the balance of time and space, Solo battles adversity as you traverse the abstruse and deeply aesthetic world of The Plane Effect. Along the dangerous path that Solo has traveled, you’ll be challenged to unravel a series of impossible events, confront the intangible, and use logic to overcome the increasingly illogical dystopia around you.
Developers Studio Kiku and Innovina Interactive have promised an “adventure in spirit and time” with custom images created by “experts”. Prepare for ‘smart’ puzzles and an atmospheric storytelling experience.
