Warhammer Chaosbane Slayer Edition review

Warhammer: Chaosbane first released on PS4 in May 2019 and our reviewer Keri gave it an average rating. She felt it was a great introduction to the world of WarhammerIt was fun to play and had a lot of potential, but it lacked real gameplay due to a lack of content. He also felt that the dubbing was not only poorly done, but so bad that he couldn’t hear it anymore and had to cut the vocals. Now, with the release of PlayStation 5, publisher NACON (formerly Big Ben) has remastered all of the game’s graphics, gathered all DLC released since then, and put them on the store as Warhammer: Chaosbane Slayer Edition

Warhammer Chaosbane Slayer Edition review: load times don’t exist

Warhammer: Chaosbane isometric top down hack and old school dungeon crawler Diablo series. The Warhammer: Chaosbane Slayer Edition uses the incredible power of the PS5’s SSD to get you through those dungeons faster by almost eliminating loading screens. Playing 4K on the PS5 was flawless, stutter-free, no wasted frames, and the game didn’t slow down no matter how many bad guys were attacking you at once, and it can sometimes be a hundred or more. The game’s graphics have also taken a step forward with smooth textures and detailed characters, but h onestly, an isometric game like this doesn’t exactly set the bar in this area. The game is a little better on the PS5, but by leaps and bounds. The improvement in load times is really the biggest improvement.

One of Keri’s main complaints in her review of Warhammer: Chaosbane it was its lack of content. While you can spend a lot of time in the game, the cards were repetitive and overused. With him Warhammer: Chaosbane Slayer Edition

, you not only get the base game, but all the DLC that has been released for it. Both new chapters add new dungeons and new stories to play, as well as new enemies to destroy and more weapons and armor to find. You also get a new skill tree to accompany the base game tree, increasing the overall depth of your characters. And speaking of characters, the DLC content adds the character Witch Hunter. While the voice acting hasn’t improved much for the game, the stories are at least entertaining and fun to play.
