A modding team recently launched an incredible GTA 5 mod serving as a complete graphic overhaul for the hit Rockstar title, making the world bigger, better and more beautiful than ever.
The GTA 5 mod in question pretty much completely reorganizes the entire graphics system. It is developed by a modding team known as Razed and is currently available for early access. The trailer, which was created yesterday, is embedded below – honestly, you have to watch it.
As you can see, Razed doesn't bother. The redesign is remarkably impressive, radically updating just about every visual component in the vast and wonderful world of GTA 5.

The trailer also reviews a full list of features included in the graphic overhaul, including, but not limited to: global ray-tracing illumination, parallax-mapped textures, brighter and larger burning smoke , a beautiful new rain filter and much more.
My favorite part is probably the moment when a driver skids in a corner while the rain is beating on a twilight road, before turning h is headlights on and fully emphasizing the complex texture of the new lighting system.
The mod is currently in early access and you can download it via Patreon. Although early access is currently behind a paid wall, fans of the project have shared an older version on ResetEra which is available for free.
What is it? You think the mod looks great, but you don't have GTA 5? No problem! GTA 5 is currently free to download and keep on the Epic Games Store, and will remain so until May 21.
