“When looting begins, filming begins” – Trump threatens to call the military in Minneapolis

President Trump on Friday threatened to “do the job right” to control the violent protests in Minneapolis if the city’s mayor “does nothing.”

“I can’t go back and see this happen in a big American city, Minneapolis. A complete lack of leadership, ”Trump tweeted.

“Either the very weak mayor of the radical left, Jacob Frey, act together and control the city, or I send the National Guard and I do the job well.”

Trump’s threat came when protesters seized the police compound and burned it down to protest the death of George Floyd.

Floyd, a black man, died in police custody Monday shortly after a white officer knelt on his neck.

Early Thursday, Minnesota governor Tim Walz already called the National Guard after escalating protests on Wednesday evening.

Trump also criticized the rebel rebels on Thursday evening.

“These thugs dishonor the memory of George Floyd, and I won’t let that happen,” he wrote.

“I just spoke to Governor Tim Walz and I told him that the army was with him all the time. Any difficulty and we will take over but when the looting begins, the shooting will begin. Thank you!”
