Switch for Mac allows you to play various web formats and professional media formats, check and adjust file properties, and then export a new file. Designed for media professionals, it provides visual file inspection, single file transcoding and is an affordable software solution for professional media quality control.

Telestream continues to improve and improve playback and indexing performance in Switch for macOS. Particular attention has been paid to title decoding performance and to making sure that file system reads and writes are used efficiently and that only the data that is really needed is decoded.

The ability to open files and play them while they are still being burned to disk enables real-time capture workflows that include previewing the quality of the captured video in real time, extracting snippets of already recorded video for use in promoting live broadcasts on social media and the ability to confirm encoding of multimedia content coming from real-time capture systems.

The application is now capable of decoding and displaying OP-47 and OP-42 teletext signatures. This support maintains format parity with Telestream’s MacCaption and CaptionMaker signature tools and will allow users to reproduce and view their signatures to confirm positioning, style and timing accuracy without the need for expensive hardware decoders.

A new collaboration feature allows users to create and view timeline markers containing comments, bugs, or feedback. Share these flags among team members using the sidecar flags file to enable collaboration without making any changes to the video. The easy-to-understand formatting of the flags document allows automation systems to create reports that can be viewed and visualized on the timeline!

Playing and checking subtitles
Playback of CEA-608 and CEA-708 subtitles, as well as SCC, DVB, TTML (iTT and SMPTE-TT) and WebVTT, SRT and STL subtitle files to check timing and accuracy. The application is the only software player with full support for decoding CEA-708 titles, including advanced 708-only features such as support for Unicode characters.

Deep File Check
It provides frame-accurate playback of all your multimedia files and allows you to view detailed information about them in an intuitive, well-organized interface.
