FBReader is a cross-platform e-book reader (available for Linux, Windows, and FreeBSD) that is also compatible with mobile devices from various manufacturers (Sharp, Nokia, Siemens, Motorola).

The long list of formats supported by FBReader includes well-known names such as fb2, HTML, CHM, plucker, Palmdoc, zTxt, TCR, RTF, OEB, OpenReader.

Tells FBReader the directory where the ebook is located. The application finds all compatible eBooks, even if they are stored inside compressed files (TAR, GZIP, ZIP, or BZIP2).

FBReader includes a position indicator at the bottom that shows the current ebook part, can display images embedded in the ebook, supports footnotes and hyperlinks, and rotates the document .
