Marathon Infinity is the third installment in the popular series from Halo and Destiny franchise developer Bungie, which first appeared in 1999 for the Macintosh operating system (and Windows five years later). The game continues the story of his two previous installments, but takes advantage of the time paradox to create some big surprise moments.

Bungie released the code for Marathon Infinity in 1999, leading to the development of Aleph One. It’s an open source engine that lets you seamlessly run the Marathon trilogy on modern computers running Mac, Windows, and Linux operating systems. This engine, Aleph One, is exactly what is used in this version of the game. This allows you to play in high definition and panoramic formats, as well as customize many other options both at the graphics and control level.

Marathon Infinity’s campaign is more extensive than the second title in the series, but the locations and enemies are very similar. Again I found a new weapon, a small machine gun. In general, this is a larger and more extensive campaign that continues to present the game’s story primarily through terminals. This opportunity also allows you to experience the situation at different moments in space/time.

Marathon Infinity is an outstanding FPS and looks great in this version with the Aleph One engine. Like his other two installments of the saga, the online mode is still fully playable, but you’ll need to find someone to do it to be able to play it first.
