How it works
FamilySearch uses sophisticated scanning technology to find ancestral names in historical records. In most cases, the computer can recognize the correct name. But it doesn’t always work out right.

With FamilySearch Get Involved, anyone can quickly look up names in historical records and check what the computer has found or flag any errors. Each corrected name is a person who can now be found by his living family.
