The BMW M440i and M4 Coupes have seen evidence in the ring "

We expect BMW to unveil the new 4 series sometime in June, which should be the first of several Series 4 revelations. Spy photos show the normal coupe is starting to lose its camouflage while the more efficient models continue to test. . The latest observations come from a few videos from supercars YouTube channel showing the BMW M4 Coupé and M440i Coupé and convertible back at the Nürburgring, and BMW is pushing all three quite hard on the track.

The M4 is in the video above, and you can see how the rear loses grip when the white smoke bursts before disappearing into the air. There are even one or two cases where the BMW touches a little dirt while aggressively tackling the green hell. Power will come from BMW's 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder turbocharged engine, which can produce up to 503 horsepower (375 kilowatts) in competition. BMW's xDrive all-wheel drive is expected with an automatic transmission, as is a six-speed manual transmission with rear-wheel drive.

The M440i coupe and convertible in the video below aren't as solid as the M4, though they're not supposed to be. The BMW M models are the cornerstones of its performance brand, but some people want some of the goodies without all the sacrifice and the price. This is where the M440i lives, marking the line between the regular Series 4 and the warmer M4. Power for the M440i will also come from a 3.0-liter BMW in-line six-cylinder engine, though this will generate 369 hp (275 kW), and power will hit all four via an eight-speed gearbox .

We should see the BMW 4 Series Coupé unveiled next month with the convertible version coming soon after. We could also see the sportier M440i models, but the presentation of the M4 probably won't take place until this fall. After that, we look forward to the 4 Series Gran Coupé, but that won't happen until 2021. Until then, enjoy the smoke from the free BMW tires in the video above.
