Power station sues Dutch government for coal strategy


Rotterdam coal-fired power plant intends to sue the Netherlands for its coal exit strategy under the Energy Charter Treaty, a controversial international agreement that protects foreign investment in the energy sector, according to Investment Arbitration Journalist. The Dutch government said on Wednesday that it would respond to Uniper's position because the consultation period is still underway. The closure of the Uniper plant should take place before 2030.
