Balabolka is a Russian word and means talker. free text to speech (TTS) for Windows and is built on the Microsoft Speech Platform. This supports many languages such as English, Portuguese, Russian and others.

This TTS application can use all the computer voices on your system to read the text on the screen and save it as an audio file. It supports many text formats such as AZW3, DOCX, EPUB, HTML, and others. It saves the output audio as an LRC file or an MP3 tag inside an audio file. Balabolka customization options

Open the app and customize it to your liking. This allows you to choose a text color and choose a different font, font size, or font style. Change the highlight color that the app uses to display the text it’s currently reading. Select “Background Color” to choose a different background color. Use the preview screen on the left to see the effect of your changes.

Use the tabs below to navigate through different documents. Select playback from the toolbar and the application will start reading your document. Divide long documents into sections by creating bookmarks and save them as separate audio files. Save bookmarks by saving document as btx file.

Use the speech settings to select a different voice and adjust the speed and pitch with the sliders. The app also has spell checker which highlights incorrect words and allows you to select different display options. you also can convert your document to an audio file using the Save to Audio option in the toolbar and select an audio format.
