brisk is a lightweight download manager that gives you a shortcut for grabbing files over the Internet more reliably and faster.

Add your URL to get started

After a quick and smooth installation, you’re greeted by a minimalistic and user-friendly interface where you can add your URL. You can paste it directly or use the clipboard icon to paste the last item you copied to the clipboard. Note that you can only add one link at a time. However, there is no limit to the number of simultaneous downloads you can have.

As you might expect, you can pause, stop, and resume downloads with the push of a button. These files are displayed in the main window with various details that may be useful, including size, progress, status, transfer rate, time remaining, start and finish dates.

Also, currently the developers are working on some known issues with launching and minimizing to tray on startup. While they are available in the settings, they don’t work for now.

Minimalist, but may gain many features in the future

While the tool looks pretty straightforward at the moment, the developer mentioned that he plans to add many new features in the future to make it competitive. Some of the upcoming features include a download queue, speed limiter, system tray, and browser extensions including enhanced convenience.

Nonetheless, Brisk appears to be a solid and lightweight download manager that can help anyone who needs to grab files over the Internet faster.
