If you are an avid movie fan, you probably already know by now that torrents represent one of the best ways to watch the latest movies or TV shows. Following the same idea, ShowRSS is a service that allows you to track your favorite TV shows.

Basically, you have to select the TV shows of interest from the list, and ShowRSS will provide you with a feed that can be used to download them with the help of a torrent client.

A small and efficient ShowRSS client for Mac

Seize It is a lightweight macOS application located in the status bar, which can automatically “capture” all new torrent files in the ShowRSS feed. In short, Catch will download new torrent files with TV episodes to any location and open them using the system’s default torrent downloader.

Not only that, Catch also uses macOS’s Notification Center notification to remind you every time a new TV show feed is picked up, and it also allows you to organize seeds in specific folders.

What’s more, you can easily set up “Capture” in its “Preferences” menu to check ShowRSS feeds only during a specific time period of your choice.

Requires you to complete a simple configuration process

Obviously, to use Catch, you first need to have a valid ShowRSS account. Use the default web browser to create or log in to your account, then select your favorite TV show from the list, visit the Feed page, and click the “Generate” button.

Next, you will have to select the “Disable Magnet” and “Use Namespace” checkboxes and copy the generated link to the Mac’s clipboard.

All that’s left to do now is to click on Catch’s menu bar item, open its “Preferences” menu, and then in the “Feed” tab, then paste the URL into the “Feed URL” field. For more details, you should check Catch’s GitHub configuration page.

(Optional) You can now set the torrent downloader to work with Catch to automatically download your TV shows as soon as the app “captures” them.
