The CheatSheet app runs in the background, so it doesn’t take up any space unnecessarily: when you want to see its interface, you just hold down the Command key until the panel is visible.

Meanwhile, to hide the CheatSheet window again, simply release the Command key. This approach proves to be very user-friendly as you don’t have to remember complicated keys and toggle app visibility in seconds.

Through the CheatSheet settings menu, you can also adjust the delay time while holding down the Command key. If you’re also using the key with other keyboard combinations, especially ones that contain multiple keys, it’s recommended that you use it longer, so it will take longer to form them.

It is worth mentioning that the information contained in the CheatSheet panel changes depending on the currently active utility. The app organizes keys by categories such as File, Edit, View, Go, Window, Screenshot, and more.

In the list of CheatSheet hotkeys, you can see the keys that must be held down at the same time, and the actions that the combination will trigger. For convenience, you can also send the entire sheet to the printer through the CheatSheet settings menu.
