Modular installation

With the latest update to iCUE, we’ve changed how iCUE is installed and updated. With iCUE’s new modular infrastructure, it will no longer consist of a single large package. Instead, users will download a very small installer that upon launch will uninstall the existing version of iCUE and automatically download and install the necessary modules.

To address iCUE’s large footprint (3+ GB), we’ve simplified the experience by installing only what’s needed to support your product. For example, if iCUE detects only the K100 RGB Air Wireless Keyboard, the software will download only two modules: iCUE Core and the K100 RGB Air Wireless Module.

As a result, iCUE will no longer require hosted files to support products you don’t currently own, and now takes up only a fraction of the hard drive space compared to previous versions.

If you add more iCUE products to your setup in the future, iCUE will automatically detect them and install the additional modules required to fully support them. Users can also select and install specific third-party plug-ins from partners who share our ecosystem.

With this update, iCUE will no longer require a complete uninstall and installation of the software. Instead, you will only be prompted to update if your module changes or if you have a new product supported by iCUE.

We believe this change to iCUE will make our platform flexible and efficient as we continue to improve the software’s capabilities and make your experience a memorable one.

Software enhancement

– iCUE will no longer crash when switching presets in Mural
– Improved tooltips to improve consistency and positioning in iCUE
– When switching lighting layers, the last layer in the list will no longer be automatically selected
– Naming a mural effect with a long name will no longer cause the “Go to mural” button to disappear
– Fixed an issue that caused the device image to temporarily increase in size when trying to reduce the size
– Hovering over shortened text on sensors in the dashboard now correctly displays the full text as a tooltip
– Resolved an issue that caused the chart for the sensor widget in the dashboard to remain displayed even after being hidden
– Improved color wheel responsiveness

HID product enhancements

– Fixed a French issue affecting Macro-Copy Event and Macro-Delete Event
– “Switch Profile” can now be copied as an assignment even if the key is not assigned
– Canceling a firmware update on the Void RGB ELITE Wireless will no longer cause it to disappear from the device list
– Solved various lighting effect issues of NIGHTSABRE, DARKSTAR and K70 PRO Wireless
– Fixed an issue with the NEXUS battery status widget that prevented some devices from reporting their battery level
– Background images are now displayed correctly when importing screens on NEXUS

DIY product enhancements

– Resolved an issue affecting time warp lighting after device firmware update is completed
– Fixed an issue affecting fan curves with fixed percentages and fixed RPM when used with Fahrenheit units
– Resolved an issue that caused Profile 4 in DDR5 Performance Manager to not appear unless iCUE was restarted
– The VOYAGER battery widget will now correctly report its battery level
– Rotary Stack and Spiral Rainbow now play properly on Hydro X XG7 RGB
– Resolved an issue that caused iCUE LINK HUB to display incorrect text strings when changing languages
– Resolved an issue in Murals that prevented certain options from appearing during configuration with 1000D
– LT100 tower tuning now works correctly when changing equipment tower layout

To install this package, do the following:

– Click the “Download” button and follow the steps to save the package to your computer.
– Save all work in progress and close open applications.
– Notes on .ZIP archives: Unzip the file and change into the newly created directory.
– Find and run the available installation files.
-Allow Windows to run the file if necessary.
– Read and agree to the license agreement to continue the installation process.
– Follow the instructions displayed on the screen.
– Close the wizard and restart the system for the changes to take effect.

About the keyboard bag:

Install the correct keyboard software and your system will be able to recognize the device and use all available features. This will also enable owners to configure additional hotkeys.

This step can also improve the overall stability and compatibility of the bundle, as well as its performance if other keyboard accessories are connected.

So, if you wish to install this version, just make sure your computer’s operating system is supported, save the package, unzip it if necessary, run the available installer, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
