Das Keyboard Q is the keymapping tool that comes with Q keyboards, giving buyers a tool to help them assign new functions to every key on their personal desktop. The application is fully compatible with all available keyboard models and offers in its own marketplace a large number of applets that allow you to configure the functionality of each key.

After launching, Das Keyboard Q will prompt you to connect the keyboard to your PC. Once a compatible device is detected, the app remembers it and will automatically establish a connection in the future.

The main dashboard allows you to preview the virtual keyboard and view mapped keys. RGB profiles can be managed in the Configuration tab, while the Preferences window provides options related to profile synchronization, API limits, logging and debugging or notifications. The keyboard layout and current firmware version are also visible here.

The highlight of this application is related to the mini program market. There are three sections available, for Enable, Disable, and New Applets. You can explore the applets available in the Marketplace to explore and discover new ways to map your keyboard and assign tasks and actions to its keys.

You may be wondering what kind of applets you can find in the Marketplace. Well, not all applets are suitable for everyone, but you’re bound to find one that will make you more productive. For example, there’s a small program that displays CPU usage as a progress bar with keys 1-9, or gives you quick access to information about cryptocurrency prices. Depending on your interests, you may find some useful and some not.

Das Keyboard Q is an application designed specifically for users who own a Q keyboard, allowing them to take advantage of the full potential this hardware has to offer.
