Extract JPEG is a very simple software application designed to extract JPEG images from database files (MDF format). It only offers a few options, making it easy to figure out whether the user has experience with data extraction software or not.

The installer doesn’t take long to unzip, and its options are standard, so users shouldn’t face any difficulties in this regard.

The interface isn’t particularly attractive, as ExtractJPEG opts for a regular window with a classic structure. Since drag-and-drop functionality is not supported, the database files can only be pointed out with the help of a file browser. Batch processing is not possible, so users can only process one file at a time.

In addition to indicating the directory and file name of the JPG image, you can also change the output settings regarding data segment and gap sizes. The first and second headers can be skipped. There are no other noteworthy features here.

ExtractJPEG does not put a strain on PC performance because it uses less CPU and RAM. Image extraction jobs execute quickly and the application’s response time is good. We didn’t face any kind of issues throughout our testing as it didn’t freeze, crash, or pop up error dialogs. However, ExtractJPEG has not been updated in a while. Other than that, it served its purpose.
