This package contains the files needed to install the Intel Serial IO driver. If it is already installed, an update (overwrite installation) may fix problems, add new features, or extend existing features. Although other operating systems may be compatible, we do not recommend applying this version on platforms other than the specified platform.

Install the driver through the installer:

-Copy and unzip the Intel serial IO driver to the tested platform.
-Find the “SetupSerialIO.exe” file.
-Right-click the executable file and select the “Run as administrator” option from the menu to start the installer, and then click the “Yes” button in the “User Account Control” pop-up window.
-You should see a welcome screen with component details. Click the “Next>” button to continue the installation.
-Next, you should see the license agreement screen. Please check the license agreement. If you accept the license terms, please check the “I accept the terms in the license agreement” check box, and then click the “Next>” button to continue the installation.
-Next, you can choose the folder location where the driver is installed. By default, the driver will be installed in c:program FilesIntelIntel Serial IO. Click the “Next>” button to continue the installation.
-Next, a list of driver components to be installed by the installer will be displayed. Click the “Next>” button to continue.
-After the installation is successful, you should see the installation completion screen. Click the “Finish” button to complete the installation.

Install the driver silently through the installer

-Copy and unzip the Intel serial IO driver to the tested platform.
-Open a command prompt (cmd.exe) with administrator privileges (that is, run as an administrator). Click the “Yes” button in the “User Account Control” pop-up window.
-Change the directory to the location where you unzipped the driver in step 1, and then change to the “Driver_Installer” directory.
-To view all available options of the installer, run the command “SetupSerialIO.exe -?”
-You should see a pop-up window. For the “-l “Option, the LCID list is shown in the table below. Click OK to continue.
-Run the command “SetupSerialIO.exe -b -s” to start silent installation. (Where x represents a specific version number.) This process takes about 1 minute to complete. After the silent installation is complete, the system will automatically restart.
-After the system starts, you can refer to section 0 to check the driver version.

Manual installation via INF file:

-Copy and unzip the Intel serial IO driver to the tested platform.
-Find the INF file. (IaLPSS_GPIO.inf, iaLPSS_I2C.inf, iaLPSS_SPI.inf, iaLPSS_UART2.inf)
-Right-click the INF file and select the “Install” option from the menu to start the installation, and then click the “Yes” button in the pop-up window.
-After installing all the drivers, restart the system.
