– Systems configured with Intel Optane Memory H10 fail to boot or get stuck in a boot loop / report bad system configuration very occasionally while performing a dirty shutdown during extensive IO stress testing. (Workaround: If the system is stuck in a boot loop, a cold reboot will restore the system)
– Intel RSTCLI returns an error code. Expected: Success Actual: InvalidParameters
– NVMe is not listed in Boot Manager when CPU Attached feature is disabled in BCFS
– After attempting to recover from a failed volume state, the volume fails to enter the normal or rebuild state
– CLI shows roaming support when the feature is disabled in the driver.

– Known issues are defined as potential Intel RST issues that have been replicated internally by the Intel RST team, but are not the source of the Intel RST bug.
– The RAID OROM & UEFI version for this release is 17.8.0.4507, the driver and user interface version is 17.11.0.1000, and the Intel Optane memory and storage management application version is 17.9.1008.0. For Intel RST Premium features (eg RAID, Intel Optane memory, CPU attached storage), it is recommended to update both the Intel RST pre-OS and Intel RST OS driver components. Please contact your Chief Executive for more details.

Intel Optane memory pinning extensions missing after Windows OS upgrade issues:
– There is a known issue related to “Intel Optane memory pinning extension dll missing popup” on OS upgrade, which is described in the Intel support article “How to resolve Intel Optane memory pinning error: ‘Unable to load DLL’ iaStorAfsServiceApi . dll” encountered”. Customers can still pin files and maintain their pinned files through multiple Intel RST UIs.
– Configurations Affected: Systems where users have updated from Intel RST versions 16.3.x – 17.2.x to Intel RST 17.5.x – 17.8 pre-OS upgrades via the Intel RST/Optane installer package.
– Systems with factory-installed (clean OS install) Intel RST drivers between 17.5.x17.9.x are not affected by this issue.
– It is recommended to update to Intel RST 17.9.1.1009 driver before upgrading to Windows OS 20H1 to prevent problems.

Intel RST Driver Package Update
– Added new extension files for HSA (ExtensionHSA) and Pinning (ExtensionPinning) to meet DCH compliance requirements.

5. Click the Intel Optane Memory tab
6. Select Disk Configuration
7. Click Enable Intel Optane Memory.
8. Select the mode of Intek Optane Memory and click Next
9. Tick “Erase all data on Intel Optane memory modules”
10. Click the “Enable” link to start the enablement process
11. Depending on the size of your Intel Optane memory module, a progress bar may appear
12. Let the progress bar complete to 100%
13. Finish the operation
14. Click [Reboot] button to complete the process
15. The system reboots into Windows to complete the enabling process.

About SATA / AHCI / RAID pre-installed drivers:

Download this package if you plan to switch SATA settings between available modes (AHCI, RAID, or IDE) after installing the operating system.
