Note – Starting with RouterOS version 7.13, the RouterOS wireless package has undergone significant changes. This is due to the fact that the development of new products requires more disk space for hardware drivers, so we have to split it so that the old products can be maintained along with the new ones. More wireless plans are not yet available.

1. When upgrading using “Check for Updates”, all versions prior to 7.12 will show 7.12 as the latest available version. Upgrading from v7.12 to v7.13 or later must be done through 7.12 to automatically convert wireless plans. A clean installation or manual package installation using Netinstall works the same as usual.

2. Drivers for legacy wireless and 60GHz interfaces and the wireless management system CAPSMAN are now part of a separate “Wireless” package rather than part of a bundle. The package can be uninstalled if not needed.

3. The existing “wifiwave2” package has been split into different packages: “wifi-qcom” and “wifi-qcom-ac”, and the utilities required for WiFi management are now included in the RouterOS bundle. RouterOS and “wifi-qcom-ac” packages can now be loaded together into 16MB flash memory.

New in 7.13.4:

– Bridge – Avoid flushing hosts per VLAN on hardware offloaded bridges (introduced in v7.13);
– defconf – Fixed firewall rules for IPv6 UDP traceroute;
– LED – Fixed modem LED indication for SXT LTE 3-7 (introduced in v7.13);
– lte – Fixed Simcom modem support in 0x9000; 0x9002, 0x9002; 0x901a and 0x901b USB combination (introduced in v7.13);
– ovpn – Improved system stability when using hardware encryption on ARM64 devices (introduced in v7.13);
– Route Filters – Fix AS path matcher when using input and output chains;

Before you consider downloading this firmware, go to your router’s System Information page and make sure the version currently installed is not a newer version or matches this version.

Since there are many different router models and different methods of upgrading your device, it is highly recommended that you read and most importantly understand the installation steps before applying the new firmware, even if you are an advanced user.

Also, if you want to avoid any glitches, make sure not to power off the router or use its buttons during the installation process.
