Journaling your thoughts is a great way to reduce stress, but where can we do it? Of course, we’re talking about having some form of digital journal, not physical journals – though both are cool in their own way. Most of us use our phones to jot things down when inspiration strikes, but what about our computers?

The program’s core is simple: think of it as your virtual diary, and you’ll feel right at home. The interface is simple and easy to understand, and almost everything is self-explanatory: There is a calendar on the left side of the main interface, and a text box on the other side.

Your diary is synced with your calendar, which means what you write will be assigned to that day. If you want to write something for a specific date, you can do so by selecting that date through the calendar. This is helpful when one wants to reminisce about the old days.

The available templates might be useful if you want a quick way to write something. Want to jot down what happened on your last trip? There is a template to easily add locations, dates, attendees, and add images. Meeting with personal Presets are also available, and you can of course create your own templates if you wish.

It’s best to keep order in your writing, and here are the tools to help you do just that. As for the shortcut keys, the commonly used markdown shortcut keys are fine: Ctrl+B to bold, Ctrl+U to underline, and so on.
