The scope of such a program is easy to understand. By eliminating moments that might cause your audience to lose their attention, you get them to pay more attention to your content. These moments appear to be detected by analyzing their waveforms, as the program automatically highlights them when adding media.

By default, the program will simply skip those highlighted sections. This is much like when you jump to a more interesting part of a video: however, depending on your content, the transition may or may not look jarring.
