Additional Information:

– U6-Pro/Mesh needs to be upgraded to 5.67.0 first and then to 5.68.0+.
– After a firmware upgrade to upgrade the LCM firmware, your device built-in display may go black or become unresponsive for about 10 minutes.
– Use HTTPS for all URLs. This assumes that your device is running version 3.7.56 or higher, and that the device’s date is set correctly. Change the URL for devices running earlier firmware to HTTP, or if the date is incorrect (for example, if the device cannot access an NTP server).

If you update the access point (AP) firmware, your device can benefit from changes that fix several issues encountered by wireless clients, correct various user interface issues, add various features, and include support for newly developed protocols.

Before performing this task, we recommend that you read and understand all installation steps, as there are many AP models and manufacturers to choose from. Every producer strives to make the procedure as simple as possible, but there are some cases where this is not the case.

It is also recommended that you apply the new access point firmware in a stable power environment (a UPS unit will meet this requirement) and use an Ethernet cable instead of a wireless connection. The latter is easily interrupted.
