Whether you’re a tourist or a local, you need a way to get directions when traveling to a big city like London. Now, you can walk, take a taxi, bus, train, subway, or any other form of transportation you can find between two points of interest, but in our day and age it all seems to lead to a smartphone app.

The app starts with a London Underground map and shows the entire Underground connections and stations. Click the “Where to?” button and enter the station name. TfL Go provides some detailed information for each station you choose, including real-time ridership estimates, connected metro lines, available train numbers, location, Wi-Fi and amenities information. What’s really interesting is that you can see real-time train data for each connected line. Know when the next train is approaching, or when the next train is approaching.

There’s also a “Go Now” option to get directions to a selected metro station, which shows all available modes of transport, buses, and metro and rail trains.

If you prefer to use the bus as your means of transportation, tap the “Bus” button and the app will display all bus stops and lines near your location. The app also has a so-called “Status” section that shows any outages in the network. Hope you don’t visit it often.

As for settings, there’s not that much to choose from, just options to share data usage for bug fixes and improvements, and an email feedback button.
