Mia for Gmail (formerly known as Notifier Pro for Gmail) is an alternative mail client designed to work with your Gmail account. The novelty is that you can manage your emails through the status bar.

Seamlessly set up an email client that works with any Gmail account

The Mia for Gmail app immediately launches its Preferences window, where you must first add the email account you want to connect. You can choose to use any number of Gmail accounts.

For each email account, the application will prompt for a password and you must authorize Mia for Gmail to process certain data related to your profile. These rights can be quickly revoked through the settings panel of your Google account.

Track the number of unread messages and quickly sort them through the status bar

Mia for Gmail automatically scans your account for unread messages and displays a list in the status bar menu. For each message, you can see details about the sender, message subject and a small preview of the content.

The system is great because you can quickly identify messages that need your attention and delete the ones that don’t interest you. Since Mia for Gmail puts an unread mail counter in the status bar, you’re less likely to let things get out of hand.

Each email can be opened in a separate window where you can view the complete message. Mia for Gmail offers you the possibility to archive or delete messages, but you can also reply or forward them.

A discreet Gmail email client that can handle multiple accounts

All in all, Mia for Gmail lets you keep an eye on multiple Gmail accounts without cluttering up your desktop.

Instead of finding space for a new window, you can manage your mail through the status bar menu and open the ones you’re really interested in individually, just like you would in any other email client.
