Mindful Starling is a simple status bar menu app designed to play reminder sounds regularly to help you focus on your projects or correct your posture regularly.

Unobtrusive status bar menu interface

Once a user sets a reminder, Mindful Mynah always stays out of your way. Therefore, the only thing that exposes the application’s presence is the status bar menu icon.

Meanwhile, the Mindful Mynah icon provides access to a simple menu where you can easily start the timer (you’ll be able to view the currently selected sound and time interval) or access the Preferences window.

Easy customization options

Mindful Mynah enables you to set a single timer with a period ranging from 1 minute to 2 hours. Additionally, the app comes with 15 sound effects and you can specify which one to use by selecting from the drop-down menu.

You can choose from the following sounds: celesta, church bell, dulcimer, gong, clap, knock, harp, marimba, shimmer, thump, Tibetan singing bowl, tick, bell, whistle and xylophone. Just below the drop-down menu there’s a simple slider that lets you adjust the volume.

Simple reminder app

Although Mindful Mynah doesn’t offer complex features or customization options, the app will be useful whenever you need to focus or be reminded to perform repetitive tasks.
