This snapshot contains mostly tweaks and bug fixes, but there are also some new technical additions like a separate simulation distance slider and increased thread count (no, I’m not talking about the fancy sheets you’re thinking of buying).

Oh, and you also seemed to like Strongholds quite a bit, so we decided to add them back into the game. Enjoy!

How to install

• Download Minecraft Java Edition Installer.
• Run the installer. (If you get an installation error, download Java)
• Open the Minecraft Launcher and click on the “Installations” tab.
• In Versions, check the box next to Snapshots.
• Select Latest Snapshot and press Play.

Snapshots can destroy your world, so please back them up and/or run them in a different folder than your main worlds.

• Fixed a single pixel inconsistency between the textures of chiseled Resin Bricks and standard Resin Bricks
• Nether Bricks and Red Nether Bricks are now aligned with Bricks and Resin Bricks (MCPE-188200)

Squeaky heart

• Increase the base time it takes to destroy a creaking heart without tools to 15 seconds

Graphically

• Fixes an Android-specific stall (Adreno only) that can occur at high frame rates.

User interface

• Using the scroll wheel when hovering over a pack placed in hotbar with creative inventory search tab active now selects an item in the pack
