Sign up with your Google Account and connect with other team members

Even if the Notion app works offline, you will need to register with your Google credentials to use the sync feature. The process is simple, and you can revoke access at any time through your Google Account’s settings.

To help you get started, Notion comes with a small tutorial that walks you through the basics. The sidebar and toolbox panels (containing most editing and page management tools) are automatically hidden, but you can choose to lock them in place.

Notion comes with a set of predefined pages that show you what you want you to do with the app, and enables you to rearrange everything with a simple drag and drop. Naturally, you can edit the content of the page and use the built-in toolbox to change its layout.

So you can create simple text documents or add individual sections, lists of various types, media content, web bookmarks, code snippets, TeX equations, reading lists, guides, meeting notes, discussions, collaborator references, and more .

Note that you can easily add new elements to the page without using the toolbox panel (slash commands will bring up the context menu).

The best part is that each of these pages can be kept private or shared with other team members in read-only or read-write mode. Notion also has Slack integration so you can stay up to date with all developments.
