When you start the app for the first time, you must provide your Windows Live credentials, specify where your OneDrive folders are stored, and select the folders you want to sync to your current device (you’ll only see their names, not their contents).

If in the OneDrive preferences window you choose to start the utility automatically when you log in, the app will handle the sync process itself unless you specify otherwise.

Quickly access your OneDrive folders from the status bar

To actually use files stored in the OneDrive cloud, you must navigate to the OneDrive folder you created on your Mac. A menu placed in the status bar provides a shortcut to this directory, but also shows detailed information about the storage space.

Note that OneDrive selective sync settings can be quickly adjusted at any time through the app’s Preferences window: in the folder list, just select the ones you want to copy to your Mac.
