How the Internet affects and helps our lives has changed a lot over the past 10 years, but one thing that has remained basically the same is that we still use web browsers as our primary choice for getting work done online.

There are various other differences from the Firefox version, two of which represent the two main reasons people love Pale Moon. First and foremost, the browser uses the pre-Australis Firefox user interface. Despite being dated in appearance, the interface is still preferred by many users for its numerous customization features and more approachable nature.

The second feature that makes Pale Moon so popular is that it still supports a variety of old Firefox add-ons (most of which are no longer supported by newer versions of Firefox and must be built from scratch to make them work properly). More precisely, it provides support for XUL, XPCOM and NPAPI plug-ins (so-called “traditional” Firefox extensions).

So will Pale Moon continue to be relevant?

The short answer is – “Hard to say.” Despite its impressive popularity, Pale Moon was never intended to be a serious competitor to the industry’s biggest names. Instead, it was created to provide the best possible user experience for users who prefer older versions of Firefox.

Even if we ignore all the above features, Pale Moon is still a good browser. Because the browser doesn’t bundle in irrelevant details from the older Firefox engine, it’s incredibly fast and very stable. Install it on a modern computer and you’ll definitely see a slight increase in speed compared to a modern browser, but the beauty of Pale Moon is that it also runs on older computers with older versions of Windows.

It also has almost all the features modern browsers offer. You can work with multiple tabs, pin your favorite tabs, activate full screen view, create, save and manage bookmarks, change default search engine, clear recent history, easily manage downloads and details like import or export options, Bookmarks, passwords, and other such details from other browsers. All this, plus the huge benefit of being able to customize almost all aspects of your application’s GUI.

All in all, Pale Moon has never been, and never will be, considered the best all-around browser. However, it will continue to be a favorite choice among a select group of people due to its unique approach to delivering a top-notch user experience that focuses on stability, customizability, and security.
