Allows you to quickly access NEXRAD Level 3 radar data and view information about severe weather warnings from the Mac desktop.

If you live in the United States, the most reliable source of information on weather conditions may be the National Weather Service, which is a small part of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

Among many other data sources, the National Weather Service has access to a network of 160 high-resolution radars using S-band Doppler technology, called NEXRAD (Next Generation Radar).

Radar range It is a desktop application designed to obtain information provided by NEXRAD equipment to display level 3 radar information and any severe weather conditions in the United States, Puerto Rico or Guam.

For example, RadarScope is designed for avid meteorologists who want to analyze the reflectivity or velocity of mid-cyclone echoes to determine the likely location of the eye of a hurricane.

You can use RadarScope to monitor severe thunderstorms, tornado or flash flood warnings and all available detailed information to prepare for extreme weather conditions.

The RadarScope workflow is very intuitive: in the main window you can view the available maps, and the Inspector panel provides detailed information about the currently selected event or warning.

The drop-down menu located in the upper left corner of the main window allows you to quickly switch between different locations, providing access to map drawing tools and more. The bottom toolbar allows you to select the map you want to analyze, and simple mouse scrolling can zoom in or out of the image.

More importantly, if you press the play button, RadarScope will download and start animating 20 frames of radar information. In addition, you can choose to save the current map as an image file.

All in all, RadarScope provides quick access to detailed weather maps generated by NEXRAD S-band Doppler radar, which is very useful if you need to pay attention to weather alerts in your area.
