router is a map viewer that supports some of the most popular route description formats. Remember that you can only visualize and explore the route, not make any modifications.

The Router application is able to present information stored in GPX, TCX, KML, FIT and Pioneer DB files. Just rely on the built-in Open menu or drag and drop a file on top of the Router Dock icon, and the utility will quickly launch a new window displaying the route.

Note that the router enables you to have multiple map files open at the same time, and you can resize and rearrange the windows however you like.

The router app allows you to toggle traffic visibility and change the map mode (standard, satellite or hybrid), but keep in mind that you’ll need to open the map file again to apply the changes.

Get details about your route and explore the map with one simple tap

The router information panel provides detailed information about the current map, such as name, start/movement/elapsed time, average temperature, maximum altitude and altitude gain. At the same time, you can see the exact latitude and longitude values ​​of the starting point.

In the Router app, you can zoom in or out to show or change the orientation of the map. For convenience, you can also quickly return to North from the Router View menu and zoom to see the entire route.

Router provides an easy solution for viewing route files without cluttering the environment with editing tools. You can explore the map and get general information about your route in various view modes.

Additionally, the Router can display the exact geographic location of the route’s starting point, which you can choose to display in the default macOS Maps application.
