Sherlock It is a practical and user-friendly Mac OS X utility that allows you to find songs, pictures, videos, documents and applications in a few seconds.

Intuitive interface

In order to find a file, you only need to select the file type, set the location path and file name and start the search process. All matching results are displayed at the bottom of the window, from which you can use various keywords to further refine your search.

The top toolbar allows you to change Scherlokk’s color theme and specify the file type you need to find. So you can choose between music, pictures, movies, documents, and binary files, or let Scherlokk find all available file types.

User-definable search criteria

The search criteria panel can help you set the location path, include or exclude subfolders, enter the file name and file content. In addition, you can search within the package content, between invisible or hidden items, search folders, etc.

In addition, you can search for files created, modified, or accessed between a specific date and a specific size. If the result list is too long, you can use the built-in search form to further filter the displayed items.

Simple file preview and extensive sorting options

Although Scherlokk does not have a context menu, you can view selected files in Finder, open information windows, quickly view, and even open files with just a few mouse clicks. You can even sort the result list based on file name, size, type, and modification date.

Highly customizable interface

As mentioned earlier, you can personalize Scherlokk’s main window and choose between blue, gray, orange, green, and pink as the background color. Most importantly, Scherlokk can automatically save your search criteria every time you close the application.
