Senuti offers a quick and easy way to transfer songs and playlists from iPod or iPhone to Mac. Imagine you just got a shiny new iPod or iPhone and you’ve filled it with your favorite music. But one day, you might want to transfer songs back from iPod or iPhone to Mac. Unfortunately, you can’t do this with iTunes, which is why Senuti was invented.

Senuti can be useful for transferring music after a hard drive failure, buying a new computer, or simply moving music between computers. When your iPod or iPhone is connected, Senuti instantly lists all the songs and playlists it can detect. It can automatically add songs to your iTunes library, or you can define a folder where they will be placed. If you’re concerned about duplicates, Senuti displays a small blue dot next to each song you already have in your library.

The first thing that catches your eye is the simplicity of the interface and the speed of Senuti. It uses a small file known as “iTunesDB” on your iPod or iPhone to quickly extract all the necessary information for each song and playlist. Plus, it supports easy drag-and-drop music and playlists, allowing you to not only copy songs to your computer and add them to iTunes, but also create a new playlist with the same name and add all the songs to that list.

Senuti offers a trial version, but it is limited to transferring only 1,000 songs. Some users have complained about instability issues, but I didn’t have any such problems. Senuti instantly detected the songs on my iPod and transferring them to iTunes was very fast.
