The notification areas on our smartphones are never big enough to accommodate the shortcuts we want, and there’s the question of which settings we want to be available when the phone is locked. Yes, we can use the search box to find specific settings or shortcuts, but that usually only works for WiFi, Airplane Mode, Vibrate, Sync, and a few others, or maybe that’s just my case.

The main window has three groups of settings. In the first one you can enable or disable sensors, WiFI, mobile data, Bluetooth or GPS, you can turn on or off airplane mode, ringtone, data sync, auto screen rotation, auto brightness or vibration.

The second group provides shortcuts to frequently used locations and some details about each item. You can check the current date and time, and tap to open your phone’s Date and Time Settings window or view file usage, battery info, or screen timeout.

The third group is for non-behavioral settings on the phone. VPN settings, NFC settings, developer settings, privacy settings, and security settings, just to name a few.

An interesting feature that caught my attention was the automatic power-on/off schedule. It’s basically a way to automate different tasks. Click the “plus” button to create a new rule, choose an action, then select the day of the week and the time to run it. You can set the brightness to full or custom brightness based on the time of day, enable auto-sync, switch to silent or vibrate during work hours, and disable WiFi and Bluetooth at night.
