If you don’t have the right tools at hand, the task management process can be a time-consuming activity, but if done correctly, it will immediately increase your productivity level.

Use to-do list to manage your tasks

Task tag It is a beautifully-looking free task management macOS application designed as an easy-to-use to-do list. You can choose to import and export tasks and mark them as completed with a single click.

In addition, the TaskTab application will add a status bar item, allowing you to quickly access a text-based to-do list. You can add tasks using the input field at the top of the list and mark them as completed with a left click.

TaskTab also comes with a task management interface, which you can access through the “Options” window and displayed as a tab on the left sidebar.

Use global keyboard shortcuts to call up the task list

The “Manage Task Options” tab allows you to add and delete assignments, as well as rearrange the task list by dragging the buttons to the right of each entry.

The Preferences tab allows you to set custom global keyboard shortcuts to invoke TaskTab’s to-do list. From here you can also configure the TaskTab application to start automatically when you log in and display the completed items in the list and the number of tasks waiting to be completed in the menu bar.

If you want to import the task list into another Task Manager or another TaskTab instance on another Mac, TaskTab also provides you with the option to export the task list.

Although TaskTab currently focuses on making your task management workflow as simple as possible and it lacks group management features, you can still create virtual group tasks by adding a line of dashes or any other symbols you see fit to help you organize your tasks. Easy.

Some other features currently lacking in TaskTab’s current feature set are the option to synchronize your to dos to the corresponding iOS app for task management anytime and anywhere, and to sort your tasks by date added or alphabetically.
