Synchronization

With TeamDrive you can easily and automatically keep your data synchronized between different computers. Sharing music, photos, documents or folders of any kind with friends, family or colleagues is child’s play. TeamDrive is available for all standard operating systems – Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android.

This is how it works:

You select any folder on your computer that you want to sync. TeamDrive encrypts and compresses your data and uploads it to a TeamDrive server. Send an invitation via TeamDrive to another computer with which you want to share data. The data is transferred to the computer to which the invitation was sent. With immediate effect, TeamDrive automatically keeps all the data in the selected folder up to date on both computers.

Offline sync

Using a TeamDrive server makes it possible to synchronize data reliably even if one or more computers are offline or turned off. As soon as the computer goes online again, the data is automatically synchronized. You can therefore work with your documents on a plane or train, for example without an internet connection.

Option to synchronize only the directory

With TeamDrive, you can choose to transfer the directory to the folder (metadata). This way you can decide which files you want to download. The following data can be found in the directory: file name, time of last changes, versions, author and comments.

This allows you to download only the data you actually need, which is especially useful if you have a slow Internet connection or insufficient disk space on your computer.

Cooperation

TeamDrive makes it possible to easily create teams to work together on documents (online and offline collaboration). Using the integrated version control system, all changes to documents or files are automatically recorded, so that each change can be tracked.

Safety

The security and confidentiality of your data is the highest priority for TeamDrive. Before TeamDrive transfers your data, it is encrypted on your computer (AES-256). Only you decide who has access to your data. TeamDrive has been awarded ULD’s Data Protection Seal of Privacy. More…

Backup

An encrypted backup copy of all your data is automatically stored on one of TeamDrive’s servers. If you lose your computer or it breaks, you can easily recover your data.

Free choice of server

TeamDrive offers two options for reliably synchronizing and securing your data: either you can use TeamDrive Cloud Services, which means we take care of everything, or you can use your own servers.

What is new

New

• We added a new feature to see a list of “recent files” received from other members. The list view of “recent files” can be selected via a main menu directly below the “active” and “inactive” spaces.
• Furthermore, in the settings (advanced) of the TeamDrive Client software, you can define whether “recent files” should present a flat view or a grouped view (grouped in spaces)
• We have added a selection option in Settigs (Space) to define what should be displayed when “overviewing” between spaces. The space overview (indicated by a yellow ring on a space, in active bars) always shows the latest activities of things that have happened in a room, and it can show either the activities or the received files.
