turtle mercury is Mercurial’s repository browser that enables you to easily maintain and manage historical file versions. With its help, you can easily view the contents of multiple repositories, synchronize data, and perform basic administrative tasks.

Shell extension for quick access to Mercurial

It installs as a Windows shell extension and provides quick and easy access to options for creating new repositories, adding new files to existing files, performing synchronizations, viewing file history, creating clones, deleting or renaming files from a repository. It supports override handlers to more easily identify newly added and unversioned files.

The main purpose of this application is to allow management of files and directories over time. It enables you to view the modifications a file has suffered and retrieve previous versions from the repository if needed.

Advanced repository management features

TortoiseHg Workbench is an application that enables you to browse multiple local repositories, perform data searches, make commits, load and view all file revisions. Thanks to its intuitive, tab-based interface, navigating through the repository structure is an easy task, as is managing and organizing all file change sets.

The Workbench enables you to use Mercurial commands and view the results in the log area. It can be used to store data about all modifications suffered by a folder or file and quickly restore a previous version or, conversely, update your working directory to a selected revision.

TortoiseHg comes with a “Visual Diff” tool which enables you to compare the contents of your working directory with a selected revision. It has bookmarks and tabs and search for easy navigation.

Mercurial frontend and solid file version control application

TortoiseHg automatically logs any changes you make to files or folders that also exist in the repository. It is a useful tool that allows Mercurial users to implement a robust file version control system on their PCs.
