Ungoogled Chromium is essentially a drop-in replacement for Chromium with no dependency on Google’s web services. It keeps the standard Chromium experience as close as possible, but also has some tweaks to improve privacy, control, and transparency (almost all require manual activation or activation).

What are the main differences between Google Chrome and Ungoogled Chromium?

Ungoogled Chromium removes many services that the regular Chrome browser uses, which rely on Google and usually track your usage. • Disable functionality specific to Google domains (eg Google Host Detector, Google URL Tracker, Google Cloud Messaging, Google Hotwording, etc.)

• Add many new command line switches and chrome://flags entries to configure features that are disabled by default. See docs/flags.md for the exhaustive list.
