But there were more serious issues as it was shut down in 2016, and because of that I was able to get updates or support for security improvements.

Should I download it?

It should be no because after 2016 Windows 8 was closed. And that’s why if you use it, you will not get any hardware and software updates, and you will not get OS security enhancement support which is a serious issue. But it all depends on you if you want to use this unique version even though you know all these issues.
