Experiment: Groceries is an intriguing game full of long stretches of exploration. Performing the most menial tasks, as the world around you becomes more and more gloomy and unsettling. Every night you’ll wake up in a dimly lit parking lot in the shadow of a dimly lit grocery store. But there’s a catch: every night the store looks a little shabby, the shelves a little empty, and the eyes of the cashier watching your every move look more and more soulless.

Graphics

Graphics in Experiment: Groceries low quality which, in this case, adds mystery to the game. It’s also reminiscent of classic console games from the 90s. Most of the assets are well textured and don’t have any glitches or modeling issues. The game also plays with light and shadow to make the environment you play in as spooky as possible.

Gameplay

Experiment: Grocery Functions well thought out gameplay. Even though you only have a few items on your shopping list, you can interact with any number of items. The store has a variety of locations to explore and many doors to open. Each door leads to a different asset or situation that seems less attractive. Near the end of the game, no matter how you have played up to this point, the game will guide you to the end with yellow lights showing you where to go. Experiment: Foods is relatively short, has no real jumping recoil, and instead tries to throw you off balance while playing.

There is nothing scarier than shopping

Experiment: groceries exist more like observational thriller than anything that will give you sleepless nights. By the end of the game, you will feel like you were being watched the whole time. Questions such as who was watching you, why your buying habits were so important, and why this whole place is so secure require interpretation, which adds to the intrigue of the game. This is the kind of game you will play again to see if you get different results.
