IObit Malware Fighter is a powerful advanced malware and spyware removal utility that detects, removes the deepest infections and protects your computer from various potential spyware, adware, trojans, keyloggers, bots, worms and hijackers in real time.

Malware Fighter by IObit is a powerful anti-malware tool with a simple but nice interface that is well designed. The main window consists of four main options: Scan, Protect, Refresh, and Notification Center. The app’s other settings and features are mostly hidden and found in the settings panel on the right. The rest of the window is crisp and clean with scan settings and options displayed as on/off toggles.

The new Safe Box and improved anti-ransomware engine protect your PC twice from the latest ransomware attacks. In addition, MBR Guard has been added to protect your PC from malicious attacks that target the MBR, such as GoldenEye/Petya attacks. Another noteworthy feature is Notification Center, which offers a one-click solution for viewing and managing all important messages.

During testing, IObit’s Malware Fighter reported no false positives when it encountered normal temporary files cached in the browser. Scanning speed was decent considering the disk size and file structure. One notable downside is that the app categorizes the lack of Advanced SystemCare and Smart Defrag as “problems”. This in itself is not too bad, however, there is no way to clear these warnings, and after “fixing” them, there was an automatic download and installation of other IObit applications. Despite shameless IObit ads, if you want an easy-to-use and lightweight malware scanner, then Malware Fighter is a good choice.
