Nero BackItUp is a cloud storage solution and a component of many Nero suites and applications. It is also available as a standalone subscription product. Nero BackItUp competes directly with services as well as Dropbox and Google Drive and is in a crowded and growing market. He brings special media content to his offer.

Story

Nero BackItUp is positioned as a general cloud storage service for any file or media, but it can also be backed up to local media – hard drives, USB sticks, DVDs, network drive, etc. The latter is a mark of its heritage; it is a pre-cloud product that has been adapted to include a cloud storage option as the market grows.

Like some of its competitors, Nero BackItUp saves different versions of files for easy recovery of old files. In addition to the Windows version, it has backup apps for iOS and Android. One account allows users to backup up to 5 PCs or laptops with free software; there is no limit on the number of mobile devices that can be backed up.

All Nero BackItUp subscriptions include encryption and compression to ensure fast and secure storage.

Plans

There are 3 price tiers depending on the required amount of disk space:

• 5 PRO – Affordable 5 GB account with on-demand manual backup.
• 25 PRO increases storage to 25 GB and includes automatic backups.
• The final plan is an unlimited service, which means there is no storage limit.

Be aware, however, that downloading gigabytes of data takes a lot of time, as does re-extracting it. If you choose unlimited access, you will need a fast enough connection to support it.

Integration

Nero BackItUp is especially useful for people who store a lot of home content on mobile devices. Once these photos and videos are in the cloud, they can be streamed and shared from anywhere.
