Nero is great for making professional tools accessible without necessarily cutting out elements. Nero Wave Editor is an audio editing program that is complete enough for hobbyists, but lacks many of the complex features that make audio editing software inaccessible.

Usage

Nero Wave Editor is for people who need to process pre-recorded audio to make it more pleasing to the ear. A typical example would be the digital recording of a vinyl record; rarely do these recordings sound good without a little digital tweaking. Filtering eliminates noise and distortion, while normalization results in a constant volume level throughout the track.

The effects in Nero Wave Editor also let you get creative, and users can download standard VST plug-ins to expand the methods available. It is very similar to Audacity in terms of looks.

Functions

Nero Wave Editor offers a wide range of effects that will enhance your audio recordings, improve their quality and give them a more professional look. These effects can be combined into gifts – convenient if you have a lot of audio recorded at the same time, and they all require the same processing.

Real-time preview lets you hear how the effect will sound without waiting for the entire effect to be applied. When finished editing, save the file in its original format, or choose another format to convert it.

If your hardware didn’t come with any software, you can also use Nero Wave Editor to get sound from an analog line-in or digital-in if your computer supports it.

Audio editing software isn’t the easiest to learn, but Nero Wave Editor lets you undo all changes if your changes go wrong, so there’s nothing wrong with experimenting.
