PeaZip is an open source file and archive manager. This is free software and free for any use.

PeaZip can extract most archive formats from both the Windows and Unix worlds, from the mainstream 7Z, RAR, TAR and ZIP to experimental ones like the PAQ/LPAQ family which is currently the most powerful compressor available.

PeaZip has a secure delete feature, can check the checksum and hash of a file, and supports several strong encryption standards, optionally using two-factor authentication (password and keyfile) to increase security:

• Encryption 7Z AES256
• ZIP WinZip AE encryption based on AES256 (and ZipCrypto for legacy compatibility); can decrypt PKZip AES encryption
• ARC FreeARC: AES256, Blowfish, Twofish256 and Serpent256 – This format is also capable of generating recovery records to protect data from corruption.
• PEA: AES256 EAX Authenticated Encryption

To create archives, PeaZip supports a wide range of compression and encryption standards, from the fastest to the most powerful. It also allows you to export the job definition as scripts to bridge the gap between GUI and console applications and allows you to choose the best of both worlds.
