Frontier Development released Planet Zoo, a continuation of their Planet Coaster success, with a similar but drastically improved playstyle. As a manager, you must take proper care of your animals while also trying to earn money. It follows the tension of previous Tycoon business building games with a twist.

Gameplay

The game focuses on turning your zoo into the perfect natural environment for incredible animals. It has two main modes: career and sandbox. As the story progresses, you will receive a tutorial that effectively introduces you to a simple game that flows into a complex style of play. The further you get with the animals, the more you will have to search the interface to find what you need.

The sandbox, on the other hand, allows you to not worry about money and clients, but it lacks variety. However, you can let your creativity run wild in this setting to create amazing creations. The online franchise mode is a poor addition to the other two main streams.

You will spend a lot of time on the little details as they keep the zoo running and keeping your animals alive. Mistakes will be made, but this keeps Planet Zoo under the necessary tension. In addition, most of the animals look like they are alive thanks to excellent AI.

Restrictions

Unfortunately, the game suffered from glitches. It will randomly crash the user even with a great PC. In addition, it can only be played on a computer.

Alternatives

Zoo Tycoon is an older game similar to Planet Zoo but with less micromanagement and sandbox elements. However, this is a well-crafted game with great modes. Also, it is stable compared to Planet Zoo.

Planet Rollercoaster by Frontier Development is very similar to a tycoon game. It excels in a fun sandbox mode while retaining all the core elements of a business-focused program. He doesn’t add much to the industry, but he does everything well.

Problems

In this application, the emphasis is on the little things, which means that you will have to show the utmost attention to detail. While the sandbox isn’t incredible, the campaign will give you endless replayability. Overall, this is a solid game for those who enjoy micromanagement.
